'cos I've got a VERY dandy Davidson Plum liqueur from the Mount Uncle distillery in the Atherton Tablelands near Cairns, and damn tasty it is too ... _________________ eat australia: grow it, find it, eat it

Hi!
That sounds delicious. At Tukka Restaurant, we actually have a series of native liqueurs produced by John and Mary King in Maleny, QLD. We have anisata, wattle nectar, strawberry tea tree, lemon eucalypt, riberry and sandpaper fig among others. They are so yummy as a finish to a meal at dessert time!
I look forward to trying some davidson's plum liqueur.

Seems all the fun things are in Maleny, Qld!!! There are a few places in Qld that do native berry alcoholic things; I really must get a few.
The Davidson's Plum liqueur was astonishingly expensive, but wonderfully tasty. It would be gorgeous mixed with some plain soda or mineral water as an appetiser; it's tangy and strong and sweet. _________________ eat australia: grow it, find it, eat it

Ummm yes unfortunate history. See www.murderingpointwinery.com.au The blackberry port is nice. Daniel I think you have a particular favourite? Apparently the black sapote port, I think it's black sapote, is good. Tukka did a tasting featuring these Queensland fruit wines, to be published in Taste Queensland, along with a lot of other articles about Queensland food producers/growers. _________________ Susan Kirk BComm/Journalist

Yes, indeed that port was lovely but strange! Not unlike the history of its wine region, apparently.
That port ended up in our family's sangria for Christmas. It was great. _________________ ------------------

www.tamborinemountaindistillery.com
They have a great flavour and hold a consistant range of products at a resonable price. |
