Alice Springs Desert Festival

The Alice Desert Festival is Central Australia’s premier arts and cultural
festival, celebrating the desert and its rich cultural landscape.

Every September for the last 11 years, the Alice Desert Festival has enlivened
and transformed Alice Springs with a bold cultural celebration based on the
highest quality art and big ideas. More than any other cultural event, the
Alice Desert Festival defines the region’s personality and artistic spirit.

This year, our own Bryant Wells (Owner/Head chef) will be helping showcase the
theme of “from plant to plate” of which we encourage at Tukka, at this year’s ‘Bushfoods Gala Dinner’ held at the picturesque Alice Springs Desert Park on October 10th.  Tickets to the gala dinner are $135pp.

Beer vs Wine Dinner Oct 24

It’s time to take sides: Team Beer? or Team Wine?.

With so many fantastic boutique breweries coming to the forefront of formal dining cellar lists, they are really giving our established and even the newer wineries a run for consumers attention.

For a bit of fun and to pit 2 of Tukka’s favourite beverage choices to go glass to glass we have created our own Beer verses Wine dinner, complete with matching menus to ’round’ out the experience (pardon the pun).

For Team Beer, let us introduce you to The Burleigh Brewing Company, from
Queensland’s Burleigh Heads. Creating tasteful beers for every dining experience they are sure to put up a great selection to match our native flavours.

For Team Wine, the long running and ever popular, Jim Barry Wines, from Clare Valley in South Australia. With such a proud history and enormous selection of varieties, it might be tough to narrow them down.

Book your tables today for this special event.

When: Wednesday
October 24th at 6:30pm

Cost: $125pp if prebooked ($135pp on the day)

The night includes a 7 course specially designed degustation menu with 5 half glasses each of the matching wines and beers.

A representative from both the Burleigh Brewing Company and Jim Barry Wines will be attending the event and talking us through the beverages featured.

Voting on the night will result a couple of prize pack giveaways, no matter who you choose.

Please ensure you have a designated dropoff/pickup service (friend, family or taxi) as it our priority that our guests for the evening drink responsibly.
